In a golden summer day
I spied you in the air
A gentle dance with a bumbling bee
and a pickup line by blink-182
You smiled and replied, ignited a spark
But hesitation holds me back
With a painful past, make me wary to amend

And break free from the chains that bind
my chest
How long to take that chance
to embrace myself, telling me that love is so true
Even though I don’t go through your head
I see the kindness in your eyes
Within that glimmer, I found a reason to stay

Too afraid to take that leap of faith
Even with haystack on the bottom
Perhaps with care, my fears will fade away
The timid heart may hesitate
